"Beautiful location! Away from the hustle and bustle, but close to sea/nature places like Petit Manan Wildlife Refuge. Coastal hiking nearby. Rugged Maine beach is part of property. Lovely home to spend a week at."

"The Machias River Inn being my first time being there, and living in the state of Maine it was 10/10. The cleanest room that you can tell was cleaned properly (I’ve stayed elsewhere in the state and can tell when housekeeping leaves behind trash visible in plain sight it wasn’t cleaned or swept). Helen’s restaurant has the best pie and it’s right on the property. The waterfront views were remarkable! We watched seals every morning. Also not to take away from guides but honestly if you go to any beach nearby you’re going to see Seals and puffins if you don’t want to pay the cost of a boat tour!"

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bear Beach. The views are incredible. It is extremely private and quiet. The beach area was much larger than I expected and it's only for you! The home is very well stocked. The cupboards were so full that we didn't have room for all of the food we brought. That's not a bad thing. It just goes to show how stocked it is! Despite being at the height of summer, the house remained pleasantly cool without air conditioning. I loved the fresh ocean breezes while I slept (very comfortable beds, by the way). The grocery store is only about 20 minutes away. Nearby Jasper beach is one of the coolest beaches I have ever been to. Our host, Sue, left us a welcome gift of wine and custom soap which was so kind and thoughtful."

"Our family had wonderful stay at this home. We really enjoyed the view and the ocean. We had a great time relaxing down by the ocean picking up sea glass and shells. We even seen a seal swim by. It was a great stay for us and the host was great and so was the house."

"This was our second stay, and it was just as wonderful as the first! The house has everything you need and the views are absolutely amazing. It’s the perfect place to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet, while still being close enough to town for dinner or a coffee. We absolutely love staying here, and it’s an added bonus that our dog gets to enjoy it with us too. We can’t wait to come back!"

"Great property that gave us so much so space to spread out. The kids could adventure on the beach and play in the yard. The house had everything we needed, great location for day trips to the Canadian border and down to Acadia and everything in between."

"This cabin ahas all the modern comfort you will need to enjoy your time at the lake. Our granddaughters loved it as well as our 2 labs. Anne was exceptional at quickly answering all our questions. The improvements that were made I believe in 2023, they definitely spared no expense they were done right and looks to have taken thought as to the comfort as well as the general beauty of it and keeping with nature and not destroying any of it, right down to the beautiful large boulders made into steps. We appreciated all that went into the remodel, and how well the cabin was stocked. You won’t be disappointed if you choose this little Beauty on the lake."
