Very simple, everything where it should be, and thank you very much, the walls are not covered with cute inspirational sayings! Dock works fine--we are geezers and didn't use the canoe, but if it had been warmer we would have. This is a great place to just kick back!"

"We had an awesome stay at Little Bay Retreat! The place is immaculately clean and so comfortable as a home base for exploring this area of DownEast Maine. The views from the deck are constantly changing with the tide, so much to just sit and enjoy. Visited Lubec having lunch at the old sardine factory overlooking the water, went to West Quoddy State Park and walked the trails and visited the lighthouse, went to Jasper Beach and discovered a wonderful nearby restaurant south of Machias called The Public House, affiliated with West Branch Farms, and enjoyed lobsters from Capt Matt eating them in the Gazebo as the sun set over the bay. Highly recommend a stay at Little Bay."

I expected rustic cabin but I didn’t see that it did not have electrics or running water. I didn’t expect big gaps in the wall boards that allowed you to look through the walls of the cabin. Which might not have been so bad had there not been swarms of mosquitos that attacked while we were looking the place over. It was hard to find the place and we drive buy it at first because it looked like a homeless camp with an old beat up camper out front and an outhouse. Needless to say, we didn’t stay and when I reached out to host for even a partial refund, she said I should have read the description better, that it was all explained in the description and dozens of positive reviews proved that people Love you the “Off-grid” rustic camping motif, and I should have brought my own bug spray repellent, so it was my fault. Okay lesson learned. "
